Cassie Bernall Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report

Cassie Bernall, a 17-year-old junior at Columbine High School, was a typical teen having a typical day when a classmate trained a gun on her and asked if she believed in God. She said yes. She died soon after because of her belief. The shooter was Eric Harris, another student of Columbine High. The school is in Littleton, Colorado, not far from Cassie’s birthplace or the place she was buried. Cassie grew up in Littleton with her mother and father, and then soon followed by her younger brother, Chris. She was a “Daddy’s Girl” and everyone knew it. Her mother, Misty Bernall wrote the book, She Said Yes. Cassie’s parents made her go to Christian School to get her out of the wrong crowd. Her backpack and room were monitored, her use of the phone, and she was forbidden to talk to any of her old friends, Mona and Rick. She participated in youth group and activities at West Bowles. The youth pastor tried his hardest to help Cassie. Surprisingly, the pastor helped. She was realizing that everything can’t be her was, and not everyone hates her. She even made friends.
