The Role Of Women (macbeth) Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report

Women are a man’s weak-point. The loving gentleman falls for his lady’s every need, want, and desire to keep her happy; which is just what the women want. With reference to William Shakespeare’s “Macbeth”, Lady Macbeth corrupts Macbeth completely and uses him as a puppet. Was it just greed or something else that made the couple lose their senses and forget who they really were? Lady Macbeth’s negative influence on Macbeth, through her methods of persuasion, overbearing pride, and madness, inevitably lead them both to their deaths. Lady Macbeth influences and persuades Macbeth to agree to what she wants. She is, in a way, very demanding. For example “We will proceed no further in this business. He hath honour’d me of late, and I have bought Golden opinions from all sorts of people, Which would be worn now in their newest gloss, Not cast aside so soon” (1,7: 32-35). Lady Macbeth influences and forces Macbeth to murder Duncan. However, Macbeth still has respect and loyalty for his king. He was loyal in the war, so he was awarded (by the king) the Thane of Cawdor position.......
