Anthrax scare Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report
In Paragould, Arkansas, a man by the name Christopher Martin Cole called in an anthrax threat to a school three days after September 11. A federal appeals court convicted him and ruled that he should spend one year in prison regardless of whether sentencing guidelines mandated the penalty or merely suggested it. I believe that Christopher Martin Cole should be sent to prison for one year. Christopher Martin Cole appeared to think September 11th was some kind of joke and I dont think his punishment should be taken lightly. He should have been supporting his country in a time of need not making threats against it. People need to know that threats placed upon our country will not be taken lightly.
My first reason why I think Christopher Martin Cole should be sent to prison for a year is because anthrax can kill people. Christopher Martin Cole seems to think it is okay to put the fear of death into peoples lives. Not only did he scare these people but he scared them at such a tragic time in our country.
