In the period from 1918 to 1933, the German nation experienced extreme changes in its function as a country, with an unwanted revolution, economic depression, and two completely different powers in Government. After the treaty of Versailles was signed in 1919, Germany accepted the democratic system into its country, and with no history or experience of the democratic process, it was subsequently quite smooth sailing for Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party to in the end, convince the German people to make him Chancellor. What with his big imposing figure and amazing political tactics, and the dramatic state the Nation was in, there was nothing more attractive.
In the year 1919, Germany was in a state of post war depression. Things were only made worse when they were forced to sign the Treaty of Versailles, which was a peace agreement between Germany and most of the other nations from around the world, which practically punished Germany for its involvement in the war as harshly as possible.
