Fernand LegerLeger was born 1881 and died 1955. He was a French painter, he trained to be an architectural designer. He studied in a number of studios in Paris between 1903 -1907, when he discovered Cezanne. For the next 7 years of his life he worked against his normal Neo-Impressionist style. Leger worked toward concentrated structural strengths in his painting.He painted big and colourful paintings, where he took ordinary objects and placed them in front and behind other objects, then painted them in an unusual colour. Leger painted things in an unusual way as well, for example he drew posts small at the bottom getting larger as they moved upwards. He experimented in the size of the objects in side the picture a great deal.I dislike Leger’s work because, though it is abstract it is not abstract enough for my liking. I also think that the colours Leger chose to paint in did not fit or match each other.......
