The main purpose of this project is to learn various areas of human psychology and how to work well as a group through contributing equally in the task. Our group was allocated the topic of brain damage, trigger # 4. We found that the topic is quite broad and various sickness can occur brain damage within the human brain. According to the assigned trigger, the situation is brain damage occurred during car accident. We decided to explore that if damage occurs in occipital lobe, person visual areas can suffer badly. In the beginning, we chose to research on the damage occur in our visual association areas but later we found that the subject area appeared too broad that it is hard to explore it. Therefore, we determined to narrow down our topic area within the primary visual cortex that is responsible for our conscious awareness of the visual field. Two study areas that we are interested to explore are, Akinetopsia and Achromatopsia, association areas that interpret motion and color.
