In the beginning of the play, Macbeth was shown as a good person. Macbeth battled for his king and for his country. The author, William Shakespeare, describes Macbeth in quotes like "for brave Macbeth(well he deserves that name)"(1.2,18), and "What he hath lost, noble Macbeth hath won."(1.3,78). In these quotes, Shakespeare is showing his respect for Macbeth.
Most people see Macbeth as a bad person because he had thoughts and intentions of killing the king. He only wanted to do this because he had listened to the witches three predictions. When Lady Macbeth had read MacbethÂ’s letter about what the witches had promised, Lady Macbeth waited until Macbeth got home and urged him to make the predictions become true. Macbeth knew the murder of Duncan would be wrong and horrible,but Lady Macbeth forces him to do so.
