Young people reach a point in their life where they feel the need to find themselves. Although, becoming part of a cult may lead one to become obsessive and believe false information, it gives them a feeling or sense of belonging. The young people are naïve, and believe what they want to hear. If everyone created their own religion, people would believe different things. People join a cult, not because they think Oh yes! That must be it! Aliens created the earth! but because it might sound interesting. People are typically born into religions, having no choice of what to believe. When young people want a sense of freedom, or dont feel like they belong, they either convert religions, or join a cult.
