With each passing day, it appears that in todays modern society there arises a multitude of new businesses with the sole purpose of selling common goods to the common American. To the eyes of the unsuspecting citizen, the brutal world of business vs. business competition is a healthy way in which to improve our economy. Upon viewing the video, my eyes have been opened to the darker side of the once thought to be a family friendly consumer good store. It seems that Wal-Mart is putting away the competition with its low prices and one stop-shop super centers, but at what cost? Wal-Mart provides customers with low prices on goods on the outside but if you dig down deeper it reveals a darker side. The Wal-Mart Corporation because of its outsourcing, increasing unemployment rates, and increased competition amongst surrounding businesses is slowly corrupting the U.S economy.
Modern society tends to save a penny here and there due to the fact that Wal-mart relies heavily on what is called outsourcing. Out of the thousands of suppliers Wal-mart has, eighty percent of them are manufacturers......
