What does it mean to be a Caucasian American?
What Does American Mean? Websters Dictionary defines American as or its inhabitants. Is a person American simply because of geography? According to my Identities, America is a confluence of cultures. Americans are people whose lives depict men and women who are trying to be as successful and robust as possible; this quest is symbolic to citizens of many other countries. Im Caucasian and I know that we were colonized.
Society
My definition of society states, A population living in the same geographic area who share a culture and a common identity and whose members are subject to the same political authority. If I was to compare the definition with the fact of immigrants living in our social economy, I would say it is wrong. Are we sharing a culture with the immigrants? I don't know, but I think that we as Americans have a different set of standards then do many other cultures.
