According to Freud, our behavior is determined by irrational forces, unconscious motivations, and biological and instinctual drives as these evolve through key psychosexual stages in the first six years of life (Corey 68). This quote fully explains Sigmund Freuds view of human nature known as determinism. The key concept to this deterministic view is the idea that our entire self is determined for us by age six.
