However in one of the stories of Shakespeare¡¯s, the role of the day being good and the night being unfavorable is reversed. The symbolization of Juliet being the light and the darkness hiding her love with Romeo foreshadows the woeful ending of the story, The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet. In this play, Juliet is constantly being represented by light. ¡°O, she doth teach the torches to burn bright!¡± The light demonstrates Juliet¡¯s beauty and hence, represents Juliet. She illuminates her surroundings with her brilliant elegance. Moreover, this quote shows the reader that Juliet¡¯s beauty exceeds the brightness of any other torches and of any other lights. Additionally, Romeo mentions that Juliet¡¯s beauty is ¡°As a rich jewel in an Ethiop¡¯s ear.¡± In this phrase, Juliet¡¯s beauty, being represented by a jewel, is compared to the darkness of an African, Ethiop. This contrast made further illustrates the blaze of Juliet¡¯s beauty......
