The 166-year-old firm does business in 160 countries. John Deere has many goals, some they have achieved and they are pushing the limits on the rest. They have already expanded into the global market and continue to expand rapidly. In 2004 their sales outside of the US and Canada have doubled in one year. Deere wants to develop plans for winning new customers in Europe and globally expand more in South America. India and China are also promising growth areas. Deere already has a manufacturing and marketing presence in these areas but would like to expand greater there.
