F. Scott Fitzgerald is one of the most influential writers in history. His sophisticated language and great stories prove to the reader how great of a writer he actually is. F. Scott Fitzgerald may have written many great stories, but The Great Gatsby and Winter Dreams are two of his finest masterpieces. The characters in these two pieces, as well as Gatsby’s own personal life, have some close connections and similarities. The Great Gatsby, Winter Dreams, and Gatsby’s life are similar because Gatsby and the characters all lived rich lives, grew up in the Midwest and moved to the East, and all had two or more spouses in their lives. Throughout each of the stories and Fitzgerald’s life, each person had lived a wealthy life. In The Great Gatsby and Winter Dreams, golf, a “rich mans” sport, is a major part of both stories. In The Great Gatsby, Jordan Baker is a golf champion, and in Winter Dreams, Dexter is a golf caddie.
