All She Wanted was Love.
One out of every 250 teenage girls is starving her self to death, just like Francesca Dietrich is. Francesca wasnt always anorexic; she developed the disease because of numerous reasons. In the beginning of the book she seems to be a likeable character with ambition and good traits. As the book progress Francesca turns into someone totally different; she even changes her name to Kessa. Kessa is not a likeable on the other hand though. She is insecure, manipulative, and depressed.
Kessa was in a ballet class, and always though she wasnt as thin as the other girls. This made her very insecure, which lead to everything the came after. Her dance teacher even told her ballerinas are slender, work out that. She then started to diet excessively, and dangerously. Kessa had one of those perfect brothers, who did everything. Her sister on the other hand is the drug addict and drop out. Her parents give so much attention to the both of them, that Kessa feels alone, and unloved.
