In my opinion, it is ethical to provide healthcare to those who can afford it, especially when the treatment is so involved and expensive. I believe that many treatments are experimental, so not all families will wish to pay for them, but the ones who do must be able to pay for it. However, I also think that medical treatment should be more affordable to a wider class of people if possible. This way, more people will want the better treatment if it is affordable.
Under circumstances for the Smith family, I think that Mega Insurance Company should not be required to pay for Dr. Fischers procedure. This is because Mega Insurance is starting a new policy for experimental procedures like Dr. Fischers. They will not be able to pay for the unusual procedures anymore because of decreasing profits. The treatment is experimental so Mega Insurance would not get a lot of clients that would be in need of insurance for this procedure. If Michael and Joy decide to go through with the procedure, it is their own choice and they do not have to do it. Therefore, there is no need ......
