The Setting:
The Book is set in England, in a whistle stop which name isnt mentioned between 1981 and 1982.
A little town, where everybody knows everyone and rumours are spread on a weekly basis.
It rains a lot, so peoples only activities consist of cheating on their spouse or renting books from the public library.
Everybody is proud of the queen and is critical about Margaret Thatcher.
It is not the biggest town, because Adrian has got a paper round and never uses public transportation, he reaches everything by foot.
But it is big enough to have its own school and mall.
The house where Adrian writes in his Diary is a council house which is a little derelict and old. It is in a blind alley.
Some parts of its furniture are more than hundred years old.
Most rooms of the house are untidy except Adrians, who keeps his room in good order and condition, he is a bit picky.
