Paintball Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report
The original name of a paintball gun is a marker. The reason for that is because they were originally used to mark hard to find trees and cattle. But in May of 1981 some rancher decided to mark his pal and things got out of hand. Someone then thought this could be the beginning of a new, exciting sport, paintball. They thought it could become a safe militaristic sort of game. Originally a group of people just went out and played capture the flag using Nel-spot 007 pistols. Later a group of people decided to just play a game of tag, using the markers to fire paintballs to tagyou. And then later the military thought these markers could be used to train troops. So three guys, Bob Gurnsey, Hayes Noel, and Charles Gaines invented the rules for the new sport.
The first paintball gun was developed 4 years later in 1985 and in 1987 the current paintball recipe was created by George A. Skogg. It consists of gelatin capsule filled with a biodegradable, water soluble and non-toxic mix of color. This was found to be a very nice marker because it could be washed out easily with water ......
