One of the most influential civilizations in the world has been the Ancient Egyptians. Their achievements were amazing, starting from the creation of the calendar, their social structure and their architectural designs. A breath taking fact about Ancient Egyptian society is that they existed for more than 3000 years. This civilization is unique due to several characteristics.
Egyptian society was an arranged as a hierarchy, their structure resemble one of a pyramid. At the top were the god, followed by the pharaohs, next were the nobles and priests, then the soldiers, scribes merchants, artisans, farmers and at the end were the slaves. The gods were the most important in the pyramid. Egyptians believed that it was essential to keep the gods happy, given that they were the ones that controlled the universe. The Egyptians also elevated some humans to gods; these were the Pharaohs.
