Research in my field is as varied as the fields of study I have to choose from. My field of study varies in that I have two college degrees and I try to put the same emphasis on both of them. The first one is my degree in communications, which has its emphasis on mass communication. The second one, political science, has an emphasis on public administration. I have found both degrees useful to my current career as a seventh through twelfth-grade Social Studies teacher. The communications degree has prepared me to stand in front of an audience daily or at least 180 days a year and give speeches regularly. The political science degree has helps to answer difficult questions that students may ask as well as provided a background in History and Government. I have also explored anthropology.
