St. Valentines Day Massacre
The roaring twenties, also known as the Jazz Age was an age of downfall, tragedy, and few improvements. One major improvement was the radio; the very first broadcasts happened in 1920 and ever sense it has changed the lives of millions. Along with the radio came the unveiling of Tutankhamens tomb, which was said to have brought a cruse with it. The twenties also brought with it the great stock market crash of 1929, which marked the beginning of the Great Depression. The same year of the stock market crash gave way to the biggest mob hit ever, the St. Valentines Day Massacre. An epic of blood shed that involved Al scarface Capone and the south-side gang, and George bugs Moran and the north-side gang. (Stewart 1).
February 14, 1929 is a date that many Chicago people will never forget. It is the date of the St. Valentines Day Massacre. A day that is supposed to represent the love that you harbor for someone, marks the brutal death of seven men; Frank and Pete Gusenberg, James Clark, Adam ......
