To bomb or not to bomb...that is the question Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report
We are now entering into an atomic war if we so choose to do so. We are stuck in the middle of a dilemma in whether or not we should use the bombs and drop them on Japan to end the war quickly, which would be a smart decision in my mind, or not to drop them and force Japan to surrender unconditionally with an invasion. So I guess you could say, to bomb or not to bomb...that is the question!
One choice you have is to not drop the bombs on Japan and invade them till surrender. Dwight D. Eisenhower said that Japan was ready to surrender and it isnt necessary. Another person said that it would put a bad name on our humanitarian country. These ideas are decent, and show some good points, however, if we dont use the bombs, we would have to invade Japan and possibly lose millions upon millions of American lives. Also, it would force the war into many more months of blood, sweat, and tears.
My point of view is that we need to use the bombs in order to bring the war to a quick conclusion, prevent tons of casualties, and conserve our money. We created these bombs for a reaso......
