Coaching Philosophy
Philosophy is a discipline regarding some logic and ethics, a discipline in regards to a set of ideas or beliefs that relate to a particular field or activity, an underlying theory or a system of values by which ones lives by. Everyone lives by their own philosophy whether realized or not and as for a coach they stick to it like glue. Unfair as this statement may be it is often easier said than done, however to deny ones philosophy is to deny ones self entire.
My philosophy would most definitely consist of winning, as do most, but winning on two different levels. Winning can be a victory in a competition or achieving success in ones self; satisfaction of accomplishing something with much effort. The second level of winning which I find most important would be to grow into a well-rounded individual. In this case everyone wins. Coaches are by far and foremost an important role model, that goes without saying and so being a positive influence as children are great imitators can be rather stressful.
