A girls place is in he husbands home and old Egyptian saying that unfortunately many follow until this day. Early marriage is an issue that has caused and still causing a lot of controversy till this day. Should a girl be wed at such an early age of 14-19? Will she be able to handle the numerous responsibilities that will be thrown over her, husband, children and home? Will she be a fit mother or she herself be a child that has certain needs and wants? Early marriage does not in any saint way create a healthy family for various reasons.
In societies such as the Middle East and third world countries girls are married off early in order to preserve them the dangers of the world. Their parents feel that they are saving them from the vicious world around them and from falling into sin. Moreover, girls are viewed as of less value than boys.
