The Prince, Revisions of Chapters Two and Three Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report

Niccolo Machiavelli as the central political thinker of Italy in the 16th century has important outcomes in his work, the Prince about dominating specific territories and having successful control mechanisms over them. In his book, Machiavelli dwells upon the subjects of dominating principalities with respect to their types and the way they are conquered. The reason behind Machiavelli seeing such a topic important is probably because of Machiavelli’s belief on the great necessity of Italian unification and the lack of a central authority in Italy. In order to evaluate his opinions and suggestions which take place in the Prince, it is crucial to first take a look at the settings of his time. In the beginning of the 16th century Italy was still not unitary state. It consisted of tens of principalities and republics which could rarely survive for a long period of time.
