Mcbeth Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report

Shakespeare’s play of Macbeth is one of his most famous tragedies. Yet many people wonder why Macbeth is a tragic hero. How did Shakespeare manage to make the audience feel sympathy for a ruthless tyrant? Could it be that Macbeth is a tragic hero, because most of the important moments in his life, such as the murder of King Duncan, were decided by outside forces? Firstly, Macbeth had been manipulated into doing several different acts such as murder. One of the few characters who had manipulated Macbeth were the witches. At first, the witches told Macbeth a prophecy, which he was to be King of Scotland. If this prophecy had never been told, the thought of killing King Duncan would of never passed Macbeth’s mind. But this is not the only time the witches influence Macbeth. Well after securing the throne of Scotland; Macbeth decides that he will go see the witches again to learn more of his future.
