Saskatoon Collegiate is one of the best high schools in Saskatoon. It is looked up to by all other schools in the region. With high grade standards and superb athletic abilities, no wonder it is so idolized.
But this perfect surface is highly superficial. What lies beneath is daunting and demoralizing. While the school council looks the other way, a group of older and popular students have run of the entire school population, using cruel mind games to control everyone. This group calls themselves the âShadow Councilâ.
The Shadow Council holds a lottery each year, choosing a student at random. You might think that winning this lottery would be a great thing but it is quite the opposite. The winner is to carry out the wishes of the Shadow Council to target other helpless students, the majority of these tasks, discomfiting and mortifying. You might even call this winner a victim.
Apart from performing the tasks set out by the Shadow Council, even more disheartening is the fact that the student is shunned by the entire school, friends and acquaintances ......
