Romeo and Juliet - the Tragedies of the Story Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report
In Shakespeare plays, a tragedy is identified as a story that ends unhappily due to the fall/death of the protagonist (Male Lead Character). If you read this story, you can definitely tell just how much of a tragedy it is. If you pay close attention to the plot this play has very many tragedies in it. As we discusseda death alone is not a tragedy. But never the less Romeos death was one, You ask why because he didnt need to die. His death could have been easily prevented. He was so young, and in love, I pity his character, as well as Juliet. So many things contributed to his untimely death, and many of those things were a tragedy in themselves. Take the Feud for example here we have two very large families constantly fighting back and forth for some unknown reason to the reader. Their fights lead to the families getting in trouble by the prince (which is a slight tragedy) and the fact that they were fighting was the cause of all the deaths in this story. IT COULD HAVE ALL BEEN PREVENTED! If only both the Capulet and the Montague families would have just swallowed their pride. Sigh ......
