The photographer I decide to talk about is an Iranian photojournalist, Kaveh Golestan. The reason that I chose another Iranian photographer for my assignment is to present my country. Golestan pictured my country and its social problems, my culture, and my history, which is more tangible for me to talk about them deeply.

Kaveh Golestan was born in 1950 in Abadan, south-west Iran. He began his professional career as a photojournalist in 1972 traveling around the country working on industrial and agricultural themes. By the time of the Islamic Revolution in 1979, Golestan had become well established in the world of news photography, working for agencies and for Time magazine which eventually employed him.
