Abstract
Everything in life requires thinking. This paper compares how cognitive development, logic, and emotionality effect ones ability to think critically. There are several studies on critical thinking but this paper will focus on comparing and contrasting the definitions and aspects of critical thinking from Schwarze and Lapes Thinking Socratically: Critically Thinking About Everyday Issues, Kirby and Goodpasters Thinking, and Ruggieros Beyond Feelings: A Guide to Critical Thinking. The paper will then discuss how these studies relate to the authors ability to think and understand the different views and multiple components to critically thinking.
