Introduction
Although at first glance, one may contend that this paper will examine an important staple to Americana; the apple pie and what is enjoyed by may café con leche (coffee with milk. Instead, one will consider an issue that immigrants are often faced with a decision, be it conscious or not, to maintain their cultural identity as they once knew it, to abandon their identity and adopt a new American identity or to try and find a middle-ground between the two.
