Most people want to find that one thing. That one thing that keeps them going, and makes them proud of themselves. That gives them an unexplainable feeling inside; even if it is just for a split second. Some people search forever for that feeling. Three years ago I found that feeling; now every time I run I re-live it over and over again.
It all happened at the first meet of the season. I had made the track team, practiced till my legs bled, and my muscles ached. I had waited months for this and it was finally here. Not only was I excited, I was nervous. A million thoughts flooded my mind. What if I loose? What would people say? Why did they pick me? Does the girl next to me know my weakness? I was overwhelmed and thought about dropping out of this race.
