Introduction:
Late before the 1997 the Asian countries were considered one of the powerful economical countries in the East. They were called as The East Asian Tigers. However, after July 1997 those countries suffered of a very sharp fall in their economical infrastructure causing fall in the currencies, markets and other asset prices.
Indonesia, South Korea, and Thailand were the biggest sufferers of this slump. Followed by Hong Kong, Malaysia, Laos, and Philippines. Countries such as Mainland China, India, Taiwan, and Singapore were relatively affected. Japan however was not affected by this crisis although it suffered its own economical difficulties.
Surprisingly, the East Asian Crisis as it is called affected the global market and the international transactions affecting countries such as Russia, Brazil and the United States.
