Any woman who has ever experienced childbirth, knows the process is emotional. Picture having a healthy pregnancy with no problems and your child is born with problems that could have been found beforehand.
That is what happened to my husband and I with our second child. Our first child was born with no problems, so the second time around we thought would be a snap, but ended up being more than a normal birth.
On March 28, 2000 was the birth of our second child, Brandon. The months leading up to the birth was as normal as could be while being pregnant. There were no problems or concerns to where any testing was needing other than the normal routine exams and testing.
The day I went into labor, I was only two weeks early. At two weeks early, the baby is fully developed, so the baby is considered full term. We are on our way to the hospital after a few hours of labor. I knew it was time. I waited until the pains were really bad.
We get to the hospital and get set up in our room. The nurse comes in and places all the monitors on and prepares the room ......
