Jefferson and Architecture Thomas Jefferson was able to relate with the public, not only through his presidency but also in the previous and following years. He was a man of many colors and, because of this, was able to access himself to Americans across the country. One of Jefferson’s many loves was architecture. Through his career in this area, Jefferson was able to express the importance of his orthodox upbringing and education to the people of the United States. Jefferson had many influences on his architectural career, and at the same time, played a very important role in the lives of many other architects that were to come. His father sent him to study, and hence, his education began.
