I am convinced that we have criticized those who have followed the crowdand at the same time criticized those who have defied it
(p. 3). I found this quote to be very interesting. Kennedy is explaining the pressures of being a senator and how they are forced to make hard decisions in the face of criticism. He says that they must make difficult choices and that either way they choose there will be people who are angry. The real test is to make these tough choices that they know are morally right even though there will always be someone against them. I give the book ***. I thought that the stories were very interesting but it was hard to read at some point.
