How did country-western music become as we know it today? Did anyone or anything influence it? Country-western music was influenced by both the sounds and instruments of Irish music and other similar music types like Gospel and Blues.
What is Irish music? When people think of Irish music, most of them will think about folk music rather than Irelands contemporary classical music. This is because Ireland is best known for its folk music all over the world. The instruments used arent the typical instruments used in songs we are familiar with. Some of these instruments include the fiddle, the Uilleann pipes, which are similar to bagpipes, the harp, and the Bodhran, which is a type of drum. Some other instruments that are more recognizable to us are the guitar, the flute, and the banjo. (Music of Ireland)
