For many decades, liberalism was the biggest factor in politics, and the largest force in changing America. Liberals believed in government that was active in the nation to provide economic prosperity, security, and social justice. Liberalism stressed not only human rationality but also the importance of individual property rights, natural rights, and the need for constitutional limitations on government. The two world wars in which America was involved had a great impact on individual lives and of course country.
