If John Gray is to be believed a reader can forget everything they might have ever learnt about creationism or Darwinism and accept the fact that the reason why the earth is populated by men and women. Back in time, Venetians and Martians met, fell in love and decided to find a mutual planet on which to live. They picked Earth, but what these two different beings didnt know, was that there was something in the Earths atmosphere that caused the Venusians and the Martians to forget all the love; understanding and respect that they had for each other in their previous lives on Venus and left them instead with the chaos that we earthlings like to call a relationship. I think this is an excellent book that John Grays approach to solving relationship issues is to get his clients to understand that the differences between genders might just as well be differences in species. He believes that if his distressed couples focus on this fact, then they will become more accepting of their partners differences.
