Analysis of Lysistrata Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report

The story of “Lysistrata” is an anti-war comedy written by Aristophanes. This story has female characters led by Lysistrata barricading the public fund building that’s called an Acropolis, and drawing an end to the Peloponnesian war. This is the major challenge that Lysistrata must over come in this story, trying to keep all the women true to the oath, and keeping the men out of the Acropolis this is almost to much to handle. Although Lysistrata keeps her cool she is such a wonderful woman; courageous in what she does and an inspiration to all women. The women of Greece join together to stand up for themselves and to make a statement to have there husbands come together and agree to make peace with each other. On the other hand it also shows a man’s weakness of sex, and how they crumble and give in without it. This Literary piece shows how to stand up for yourself in order to get what you want not only for yourself but for others who believe the way you do. This excellent story makes a statement for all women, showing that you can stand up for yourself and can make a difference. ......
