Forsyte Saga Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report

„The Forsyte Saga” is a trilogy written by John Galsworthy. It tells the story of an English family, Forsyte by their family name. The scene of the novel is laid in the 19th and 20th centuries; most of the things take place during the reign of Queen Victoria. Those times class society existed in England. The Forsytes belonged to the upper class. These were the days of balls, white gloves, routs and chic. They were very rich and their lives were very well ensured, due to the fact that their forefathers had left them a great fortune. It is a great saga of different generations living together, of great intrigues and about the great respect between the generations. The plot is London, with its best-known and the most expensive places, and its surrounding areas. It is very difficult to say who was the main character, as every family member has a very important place and through the trilogy the characters change.
