Are people born homosexual, or does society play a role in the factor? Homosexuality is the attraction to the person of the same sex. In todays world, not many people are accepting of homosexuality; however, the acceptance has grown. Extensive research has been done to find out the true meaning(s) of homosexuality. This research was done in the early 1990s by Simon LeVay and Dean Hamer. The research has been focused on; but not limited to, the origin of homosexuality, psychosocial theories in society, childhood indications, hormones and genes, birth effects, the human brain (the gay brain), adaptations, and types of homosexuality. This paper mainly focuses on: the failure of Psychosocial Theories, the gay brain, and Hormones.
