Modern Day Families Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report
In the living room of the home that I share with my mother there sits a table. It is covered by dust, mail newspaper, and the usual clutter. If this dust ridden, overworked, and unappreciated table could talk it would tell of how it once was. It would tell of a time long since past. It would describe a house where both of my parents lived happily together. The table would then go on to speak of a so called friend that was there to keep it company. This end table had a matching coffee table to share its days with. The octagonal shelves were once a brilliant shade of golden brown wood stain . Now they are simple worn and scratched wood. The once gleaming brass lions head handles are now tarnished and lusterless. This table now belongs in the living room of the house that I share with my mother. Its mate now belongs in my fathers house. These two tables have been torn apart worn and tarnished just like the value of family has.
