I was attracted to this course for a couple main reasons. I have previously taken an education course that you taught at Kirkwood and found it to be both enjoyable and a helpful tool for understanding the basics on elementary education and as a successful means of determining whether or not elementary education was truly something I would be interested in. I also wanted to broaden my knowledge of world affairs. This topic is not something I am well-versed in at all, and I would like to get an understanding of the issue in a way that would be less watered-down than the version presented in the news.
