Over the last two class periods we have been watching the film Hamlet. At first I really wasnt interested in watching it, but after the first day of watching it I knew I couldnt miss a class. In a part of the movie he states that he is going to act mad so he can get revenge for his fathers death. Throughout the play I kept watching Hamlets reaction to certain things in the play, for example his fathers death, Claudiuss reign as the new king, and Ophelias death. Then after watching a little bit more and just thinking to myself the question came up, Is Hamlet truly mad or is it just an act?
At the beginning of the movie Hamlets father dies and right after that Gertrude remarries to Claudius which is Hamlets uncle. As you move further along in the movie you Hamlet meets with the Ghost of King Hamlet, which tells him that he was murdered by Claudius from poison poured in his ear.
