Marine Corps Boot camp The Marine Corps boot camp is made up of three different phases. The first phase concentrates on orientation meeting the drill instructors, the study of the military subjects, and physical training. The second phase includes marksmanship training, combat exercise, and long humps. And the third and final phase consist of service week, the final polishing, and the long and finally here, the graduation. The end result of the 12 weeks of hell is being able to call yourself a United States Marine, and receiving, the eagle, globe, and anchor is the best gift anyone could give you. And it begins phase One starts at O dark hundred of the morning. As I the former happy go lucky civilian, steps off the bus into a world of chaos. My mind is snapped in total shock, cardiac arrest is a distinct possibility. As I and the other civilians file off the bus, and on to the famous yellow foot prints, I can smell the fear in the air. We are no longer civilians we are known as recruits. As we stand there not knowing what to expect, out of know ......
