Disorders, what comes to mind when we think of this word? One would say a malfunction or breakdown of some thing. Nutrition, what comes to mind when we think of this word? Many would say healthy foods and the way we eat. In today¡¦s society many people find it hard to eat nutritional foods to maintain a healthy body. There are several medical problems that attribute from the neglection of nutrition and many people find it hard to believe. Throughout time out bodily organs malfunction or breakdown without the necessary nutrients we need to function daily. Pancreatitis is one disorder that relies on the nutritional values and the choices we make every day for the proper functioning of our bodies.
One organ I find most interesting is the pancreas; this organ has many functions, one by its secretions to help with digestion for the absorption of nutrients we need for energy every second of the day. It secretes hormones, such as insulin and glycogen to maintain carbohydrates we consume. These levels are so important and our pancreas work so very hard to keep levels normal (Whitney 90)......
