In todays society when you think of culture, you think of family background, morals, and Customs. Growing up in an Italian family I was taught many morals and values such as being respectful to your elders, visiting your grandmother every Sunday, The boys are suppose to do the manual labor of maintaing the house such as cutting the grass, and shoveling snow while the girls did the cleaning. You are suppose to go to school, get good grades and be successful so you will be able to learn go off to a good college to support my mother and father each day.
As I was going through middle school and high school I faced plenty of odd situations that I didnt know how to handle. I faced the situations of which the cool people were, you werent cool if you didnt wear your clothing a certain way, or you didnt get drunk on the weekends.
