To kill a mockingbird - Harper Lee Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report

Harper Lee remarks, in various part of the novel that is a sin to kill a Mockingbird. When he gives Jem and Scout the air-rifles he warns them saying that if they where going to shoot birds (he didn't like the idea neither), shoot all the bluejays, but don't kill any mockingbird because that was a sin. Miss Maudie explains the kids that it is a sin to kill a Mockingbird because they don't do anything bad, they only made music for the humans to enjoy it. They are different from other birds that used to damage peoples gardens. The Mockingbirds sing their hearts out for the humans. They give all in them to please our life. We see how these description of a Mockingbird apply various character in the novel. It can be said that Tom Robinson was like a Mockingbird, he was an innocent man accused of a crime that he didn't committed. He was accused mainly because of his lack of malice and because he was a good man who wanted to help people. He didn't had any malice because he went inside Mayella's house, to supposedly help her and he didn't ......
