Dancing girls Margaret Atwood’s Dancing girls refers to differences within each person that comes from different places, such as foreign students that move out of their homelands to do their courses somewhere else, but they still keep some of their costumes and religions guidelines. The author pretends to show how different cultures can be and how they can be distinguish from others, but at the same time the ones that are from that particular country (the one where the story takes place), and have no distinctive culture or costume. That is why the variables to be analyzed are Ann’s feelings towards life (how is that she is so ordinary and have a conventional way of living) compared to her best friend Jetske who has a different perspective of life; and the fashion styles (typical) of clothing used by every foreigner but Ann. Is important to notice how different Ann and Jetske are from each other. Ann is a person who envisions the world without agitators, noise, or pollution, and instead foresees green spaces and beautiful animals; however she knows those dreams can’t be achiev......
